The module teaches students fundamental skills for communication in architectural design. It engages different means of visualization and expression of space and spatial ideas through architectural drawings

Module reflection

Overall, this module thought us fundamental basics of drawing conventions. Lectures conducted were informative and we get to practice the skills learned through tutorial exercises and assignment, our tutors often provided assistance if we need.

We had this module via hybrid mode, hence we were exposed to online learning in which we revised through online resources given by lecturers and sometimes have classes in Teams. In my opinion, online learning gave us good flexibility while doing assignment and were effective in helping us conduct self-learning.

As for the lecturers, tutors and module coordinator, they were all approachable people and were always ready to provide necessary guidance if we need. They gave good feedback and suggestions on how we could improve our works, thus sharing us good insights too.

Project 1 Movie Poster

This was a challenging yet interesting experiment for me because I wanted to try watercolor despite not being experienced in it. Thankfully through guidance of my friends and tutor I applied new skills and complete my assignment

The story regarding my Movie Poster is about Anti-War; in which a soldier was saved by a mute orphan girl; touched by her kindness he decided to put down his gun and escorted the girl to a safe heaven, violating the orders from his officers that could potentially lead him to death. The story showed the horrors of war while unfolding the perseverance of humanity in surviving, as they wish for hope, and love.

Project 2 Farnsworth House Drawings

Another interesting assignment because we were given the opportunity to use Autocad to draw orthographic drawings of Farnsworth house. On top of that, I've learned how to construct axonometric and perspective drawings. It was a good experience as these drawings are essential in our architecture studies.

In addition to workshop, I research online to learn Autocad skills that I can apply

This was my first time learning and using Autocad software

I applied the drawings conventions learned from class

I self-learned my watercolors by doing research and self-expereimentation

I used creative solutions to address issues in my movie poster composition so I could produce an interesting artwork

I applied the skills of coloring media learned from classes

Project 3 Presentation Board with AR

In this projected we composed presentation boards based on our final assignment in AD1. But we were tasked to integrate our board with Augmented Reality Using Bilppar. I've never used that app before however I enjoyed the process of learning Blippar and exploring the different functions.

I had to self-learn ways to compose presentation board for studio pinup

I tried not to rely on others to complete this assignment, and instead did my best to do what I know

I thought of various solutions to compose my boards that will be best for my drawings
