Micro House Project
In this final assignment, It was time for us to draw houses. Apart from practicing basic drawing conventions, we now must understand the site context and their conditions, and select suitable materials for the house.
This assignment had 2 parts, the first part was group work. So as a group we determined the site condition and house layout, and all the materials and furniture used.
The 2nd part was individual work, using all information gathered in the group, we were to draw our own micro houses and determine the house facade, space design, and furniture placement on our own.
Initial Progress: Group
As a group, we chose a riverside site located in Sabah. We also finalized our house layout which was option B. Our Leader Yvette also helped to draft the group title block.
Material and Furniture References: Group
Together we finalize the basic materials for the house and the furniture to be included in each space: living room, dining area, kitchen, bedroom, toilet, and balcony ( optional to be drawn ). Overall, we were opting for an industrial-style look.
Drafting the house: Individual
The main drawings to be produced were a site plan, floorplan, longitudinal elevation, horizontal elevation, and section. As mentioned above, I allocated the spaces for my house and determine the furniture layout myself. We also designed the exterior facade of our own houses too.
Final outcome
Once all drafts were finalized they were properly inked and compiled for submission.
