ITSD

Explore My Work

In a nutshell, ITSD is designed to expose students to elements, design language, that are used to design quality spaces. During this process, we learned to develop concepts and translate those visual ideas into 3D form. Quality spaces also mean ones that are adaptive to humans and their environment, with the intention to enhance ones' experiences.

Mr. Paul

My lecturer and tutor

Mr. Paul was my lecturer and tutor for this module. He graduated with an architect degree and currently is a full-time artist as well as a lecturer at Taylor's.

Mr.Paul guided us well by providing critical feedback and kept pushing us from our comfort zones. He challenged us by asking critical questions to test our understanding and for us to consider areas we never thought of.

Overall Module Reflection

This module helped me to get familiarized with the grammar used during spatial design like volume, planes, form, void, negative/positive spaces, etc.

Arranging spaces cautiously is a key take away too, as I learned to explore different designs spaces, as a good design takes into consideration of overall form and the spatial quality within them.

Finally, the most important thing to always remember is we should design spaces that reflect the clients' needs and ones that seam well to the surrounding context.
